From mission to impact

Architecture, engineering, and construction firms are being asked to do more than design great buildings. They're being asked to prove it. I help firms build the internal practices, metrics, and narratives that turn genuine commitment into visible leadership.

Sustainability integration

  • Assessing where sustainability lives in your current workflows, as well as where it's missing

  • Building the internal processes, decision criteria, and team habits that make commitments stick

  • Navigating pledge programs, including AIA 2030, A&D Materials pledge, and others — from enrollment through ongoing tracking

  • Developing metrics frameworks that connect project-level data to firm-wide goals

  • Supporting leadership in translating sustainability commitments into staff culture and practice

Impact measurement & pledge programs

  • Designing KPI and metrics frameworks specific to built environment commitments

  • Building tracking systems that integrate into existing project workflows rather than adding burden

  • Supporting annual reporting for pledge programs and sustainability frameworks

  • Translating raw data into meaningful progress narratives for leadership, boards, and clients

  • Identifying gaps between commitments made and outcomes achieved, and helping to build a plan to close them

Project storytelling & recognition

  • Working with firms to identify which projects have the strongest story, and what that story actually is

  • Developing award submissions that communicate design intent, sustainability performance, and impact with clarity and conviction

  • Translating technical achievements into language that resonates with juries, clients, and the public

  • Building a recognition strategy — which awards, which programs, which opportunities are worth pursuing, and when.

  • Helping firms develop the internal habit of documenting impact throughout a project, not just at the end.
